Career Impact Academy - 701 - 746 - 2310

The Career Impact Academy works closely with our participating schools. We do ask if parents could call into our main office line if their student will be missing classes and the reason. We follow the Grand Forks District Attendance Policy.

Block 1   8:00 - 9:30

Block 2   10:10 - 11:40

Block 3   1:00 - 2:30

Bus Information

The area schools of Hillsboro, Central Valley, and Larimore have opted for busing in their own students. Thompson Schools are allowing their own students to drive in daily. Red River High School and Grand Forks Central allows students to drive or take the bus option that is provided. Please make sure you are at the location before the leave time to not miss the bus.

Early Release/Virtual Days

Virtual Learning Days

Due to the unique schedules and trying to accommodate students and staff, this year we will be doing Online Virtual Learning Days on the Grand Forks Public School’s Early Release Wednesdays. We want to ensure meaningful, structured, and engaging learning continues during these days, while maintaining accountability and support for both students and teachers. We have expectations for our students and our staff.

Notes About Weather: 

  • If there is a 2 hour late start due to weather, the CIA will have a full virtual day. Staff expected to be on site but no travel for students. Students will complete a check in form like it was a normal Virtual Day.
  • If Grand Forks has school and the area schools are closed, our teachers will post on Google Classroom like a normal school day. Students need to try and complete the work posted. No Google Form will be done. Attendance will be excused due to weather. 
  • If Grand Forks Public Schools are closed, nothing will be expected to be posted for our students unless it’s the third snow day. This day will be virtual learning according to Grand Forks Public School snow day policy.
  • Grand Forks students will receive messages from the district. Area Schools will receive information from Mrs. Ostgarden through email and text.

Expectations for Students

Attendance & Participation

  1. Students are NOT travelling to the CIA on the Grand Forks Early Release Days due to shortened schedules and traveling/shared staff. Students are to complete their work at their homeschools.
  2. Log into the Career Impact Academy Classroom (Classroom Code: fpc6ek4k)  to complete your attendance before 11:59 pm on that Wednesday (or snow day). 
  3. Log into your class Google Classroom to complete the online assignment your teachers are to be posting.
