This program is designed to give students the opportunity to gain real-world experience in their chosen field of study. Students will work with mentors in businesses and organizations to learn about day-to-day operations of a workplace, develop their skills, build their resumes, all while earning high school credit.

The goals of our work-based learning program are to:
● Help students gain exposure to different career paths
● Develop their employability skills, such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving
● Learn about the expectations of the workplace
● Build their resumes and network with professionals
● Help solve community labor shortages by introducing students to local career paths

The mission of the work-based learning program is to prepare students for success in college, career, and life. We believe that by giving students the opportunity to gain real-world experience, we can help them develop the skills and knowledge they need to be successful in whatever they choose to do.

The following work-based learning courses are available in each CTE program of study:

  • Career Connection - Agriculture
  • Career Connection - Business
